BAER DESIGN GROUP IS SHOWCASED IN TWO LEADING DESIGN BOOKS
January 2002
Chicago, IL - Baer Design Group, a corporate identity consultancy, has been included in two leading design annuals by David E. Carter: Global Corporate Identity and The Big Book of Color in Design.
Baer Design Group's work with Planet Cargo and Dynasty Quest is showcased in Global Corporate Identity, which features the most innovative identity systems produced in 40 countries. In the book, the author highlights the brand identity for Planet Cargo as Chicago-area movers specializing in international relocation as an example of the "newest and best" of the international branding systems.
"Our new identity gave us uniformity in the marketplace and helped create customer loyalty," said Tamara Taylor-Bassin, a Planet Cargo partner. "It also helped us establish the image of our company as an international system."
The Big Book of Color in Design displays two of Baer Design Group's works in the "Tasty" and "Durable" categories. In the "Durable" category, Baer Design Group's corporate identity brochure for Appropriate Temporaries, Inc. is featured. The "Tasty" category highlights Baer Design Group's packaging design for Meijer Foods.
"Color in packaging is the first aspect a customer responds to," said Todd Baer, the Creative Director of Baer Design Group. "The importance of color is intrinsic: It creates a mood and builds customer recognition."
Founded in 1995, Baer Design Group specializes in corporate identity and branding, and has clients throughout the Midwest.
"As a Midwest-based firm with a global vision, we try to combine branding, identity and strategy with an eye to the opportunities of a global marketplace," said Baer Principal Lisa Baer. "The work recognized in Corporate Identity and Big Book validates our efforts."
